About John
John leads our commercial and property teams and is the managing
partner of Shieff Angland.
In the commercial area his focus is on business structures and
strategies, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance,
commercial contracts and compliance. He is also experienced in
advising charitable and other not for profit organisations.
In the property area John focuses on the commercial, industrial
and retail sectors. He advises on ownership structures,
acquisitions and disposals, due diligence undertakings, funding,
subdivision, leasing and construction.
John holds a number of external directorships. He is a member of
various property industry groups and assumes a number of voluntary
roles.
Management
John has been the managing partner of Shieff Angland since 2007.
In his role as managing partner John provides management leadership
to the firm.
John and Margaret Hellyer work closely together to develop and
implement the firm's strategies and ensure that all the resources
required to meet our clients' needs are in place. They are also
responsible for implementing appropriate technologies and systems
within the firm.
