Property development has been a recurring theme in Deanna’s 19-year career. Now specialising in property and commercial matters, she has worked on development and construction, subdivisions, due diligence and acquisitions, commercial leasing, and property finance. She spent nine years working in the real estate teams of multinational law firms in London, undertaking complex, high quality development work.
She has also been involved in significant developments around New Zealand, including purchase of rural land for redevelopment, large scale subdivisions, office tower refurbishments and leasing.
Deanna understands construction and redevelopment considerations, resource management issues and water rights acquisitions. She appreciates the demands on the client, and the importance of practical and timely advice and great communication.
Deanna is a polished seminar and webinar leader and recently presented on the impact of Covid-19 restrictions on construction contracts.
She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2002.
